James T. Pendergrast is an artist and writer who has been a long-time resident of New York City, with a couple interruptions. He had drawings on the Letters Page of Rolling Stone magazine for over twenty years. During that time he published more than a thousand drawings in that magazine. He also had drawings in every issue of Tennis Magazine for almost ten years. 

He has produced two books of drawings, and one book in collaboration with Rex Curtis, a writer who lived in New York City. 

He has also had writing published in “Story’ magazine, among other places. 

His art is in collections in the US, Europe, and Australia
